- Non-resident foreign bank account statements in India.
- Bank statements of the foreign country where the applicant residest.
- Any of the documents of citizenship ID number, taxpayer ID number, national ID number. The document must be attested either by the apostille or by the Indian Embassy/the High Commissioner/Consulate working in the applicant’s native country.

Birth-related documents needed for PAN Card include:

- Matriculation Certificate from a recognised board.

- Driving license
- Aadhaar card.
- Pension payment order.
- Marriage Certificate.
- Domicile Certificate (issued by the Government of India or State Government).
- Photo identity card (issued by the Government of India or State Government, Central Government undertaking or State Government undertaking).
- Affidavit recognising the DOB (signed before a magistrate).

The documents required for PAN Card for this aspect include:
- Electricity bills
- Broadband connection bills
- Landline bills
- Voter ID card
- Aadhaar card
- Driving license
- Passport
- Credit card statements
- Post office passbooks having the applicants’ address.
- Bank account statements
- Domicile Certificate
- Accommodation allotment letter (issued by the Central or State Government of less than or 3 years old).
- Documents of property registration
- Individuals must provide the latest utility bills and bank/credit card statements (not more than three months).
The documents (as proof of identity) needed for Hindu Undivided Family or HUF(s) includes an affidavit of the Karta of the HUF declaring the name, father’s name, and address of all the coparceners on the application date.
Documents required for PAN application by NRIs
The documentation process for NRIs is different from the documentation for Indian citizens. NRIs only need to submit documents related to the proof of identity and proof of address.

- OCI (Overseas Citizenship of India) card allotted by the Government of India
